SCOPE RECOGNIZED FOR CLASSROOM ACHIEVEMENTS

University of the Incarnate Word senior defender Jamie Scope was named to the 2009 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team for NCAA Division II’s District 6 on Friday.
Scope, from Newcastle England, is a Kinesiology Major at UIW with a 3.77 GPA.
On the field, Scope is a captain and has started all 16 games and scored a goal, despite playing predominantly back in the defense, this season for the Cardinals.
A first-team honoree, Scope is now automatically nominated for the Academic All-American award to be announced later this season.
