There were more than 200 runners entered in the college division of the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree last weekend and Incarnate Word’s Marie Troufflard finished in the top 10.
Her time of 10:04.70 over the 5K course put her in sixth place among the finishers. Caroline Jepleting of New Mexico JC won the title with a time of 16:54.00.
Troufflard got good help from teammate Alyson Gonzales who finished 38th in a time of 20:12.60.
As a team the Cardinals were sixth with 222 points behind winner New Mexico JC which posted a cumulative 83 points.
This was the Cardinals’ final tune-up before going to Dallas on October 24 for the annual Heartland Conference championships.
