WOMEN'S GOLF HAS TOUGH TIME IN OK CITY

The University of the Incarnate Word women’s golf team had a tough outing at the Cheddars’/University of Central Oklahoma Classic, finishing 17th in an event that showcased a good number of teams from the region.
UIW’s team score was a 671 (the team shot a 337 and a 334 in the first and second rounds, respectively). Tarleton State University took first with a 596.
Emily Carruba led the Cardinals with a two-round total of 163 (79-84), which tied her for 59th overall. Right behind her was Sasha Kiger with a 164 (86-78) who was tied for 64th individually.
UIW only took four golfers to the event.
