The Rocky Mountain Conference swimming and diving championships are complete and Incarnate Word repeated as team champion as well as capturing all six individual awards presented following the competition.
UIW followed up its 2009 title as team champions by outdistancing the 2010 field with 1,073 points. Host Colorado Mines was a distant second with 860.5 points. This is the second year for the Cardinals to swim as associate members of the RMAC and they made it two for two teamwise.
Nikita Belousov is the RMAC Swimmer of the Year.
Of the six individual honors handed out, two Incarnate Word athletes came home with a pair of awards. Nikita Belousov was named RMAC Male Swimmer of the Year based on his season-long efforts. Plus, he was swimmer of the meet after he won three individual races--200-individual medley, 400-IM and 200-backstroke.
Justin McDonald won both diving contests at the meet--one-meter and

three-meter--earning two honors. He was named diver of the meet and diver of the year for the conference.
Mark Rubin swam on the victorious UIW 800-freestyle relay team. He also finished second in both the 1,000-free and 1,650-free to go with a third place in the 500-freestyle. Those efforts earned him the freshman of the year award.
The sixth and final individual award offered by the conference was coach of the year and that honor went to UIW's Phillip Davis.
