With 10 teams entered in the collegiate division the Cardinals saw their experienced and inexperienced join together to work on the record book.

UIW’s junior class was represented when Taylor Echevarria put his mark on the 400-meter hurdles. He ran a school record 57.62 to finish fourth.
Then came the sophomore group. Incarnate Word’s Steven Young won the long jump with a distance of 7.02 meters (23-00.50) and that was a school mark.

The Cardinals got their fifth and final school mark when the distance medley relay team won in a time of 10:08.18. That foursome had a nice blend of junior Sebastien Jaraba-Heffner, freshman Corey McDonnough, sophomore Chris Flores and freshman Howard Gill running anchor.
