University of the Incarnate Word

The Incarnate Word women’s golf team took a late invitation from Tarleton State to participate in the 2010 Tarleton State Coca-Cola Classic and finished in 12^th place on Monday and Tuesday.

UIW finished with a team score of 642 (323-319).

Individually, Joanna De Sa Pereira shot a 74 and a 77 for a 151 over two rounds and a seventh place finished – giving her a top 10 finish in every event she has participated in during her first season at Incarnate Word.

Jessica Cornish (80-78—158) and Sasha Kiger (83-81—164) finished tied for 27^th and 59^th, respectively. Lauren Taylor shot a 169 and Emily Carruba finished with a 172.

The Cardinals will participate in the 2010 Heartland Conference Championships on April 19-20 in Edmund, Oklahoma to wrap up the season.
