University of the Incarnate Word

San Antonio’s entry in the WNBA, the Silver Stars, is set for a pre-season game at Incarnate Word’s McDermott Center in early May.

The Silver Stars will host China’s national team on Tuesday, May 4.  Tipoff on campus is at 7 p.m.

UIW students, faculty, staff and administration can take advantage of special tickets prices for the game.  All tickets are general admission and to the public they are priced at $10.  All fans with a UIW identification card can purchase tickets for half price, $5.

Game tickets are now on sale and purchases must be made in person at the athletic department’s game operations office in room 102 of the Barshop Natatorium.

This one of but two pre-season games for the Silver Stars and it is the only exhibition game scheduled to be played in San Antonio.  The Silver Stars are coming off the 2009 season when the team reached the Western Conference semi-finals.
