It is raining in the northwestern part of Missouri and in particular Warrensburg where the NCAA Division II South Central regional baseball championships are scheduled to be played.
The first schedule revision has been posted and Incarnate Word likely will not play its first round game until the later hours of Thursday.
The fourth-seeded Cardinals will open against number three Emporia State. Originally set for a 7 p.m. first pitch the game now will be delayed at least two hours. It will be the third game of the six-team, double-elimination tournament.
This revision has #2 Abilene Christian and #5 St. Mary’s at 2 p.m. and #1 and host Central Missouri against #6 Nebraska / Omaha at 5:30 p.m. The title game should be played Sunday.
