University of the Incarnate Word

The USTFCCCA (coaches association) has announced its Division II All-Academic Track and Field Teams and Incarnate Word tops the entire list.

Sixty-seven schools are on the list, the minimum cumulative grade point average is 3.00 for the entire team and UIW’s Cardinals heads the list with its 3.64.

Northern Kentucky out of the Great Lakes Conference had a team mark of 3.61 to be second behind the Cardinals.

The Incarnate Word effort in the classroom was paced by long jumper Lauren Pratt who earlier was named to the USTFCCCA all-academic team for individuals.

This is the second year in a row for UIW to receive this team award.
