University of the Incarnate Word

Sophomore Marie Troufflard was the top finisher for the Cardinals Friday evening in Waco. Troufflard finished right under the 16-minute mark in the 4 thousand meter race good enough for 31st place. Her two teammates Bailey Loyd and Alyson Gonzalez completed the race right behind her finishing 39th and 41^st respectively. 

The next three Cardinals finished within nine seconds of each other: Alma Salinas (52^st), Alma Santos (53^nd), and Stephanie Glatt (55^h).

As a team the Cardinals finished 6^th out of 11 teams. The Cardinals finished the day with 187 points.  Baylor won the event with a low score of 22. Their top five runners all finished in the top 10.

The Cardinals will travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma on September 25 to run in the Oklahoma State Jamboree.
